Zolitime-FM

Product Introduction

Zolitime – FM is a combination of two medicines Flupentixol (0.5mg) and Melitracen (10mg), used in the treatment of depression & Anxiety. Flupentixol belongs to a group of medicines called antipsychotics, and Melitracen is a tricyclic antidepressant. This drug works by blocking dopamine and serotonin receptors in the brain.

This drug shows anti-depressant effects at low doses (0.5- 3mg). This medication shouldn’t be stopped suddenly without consulting your doctor as that may cause withdrawal symptoms. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age. Zolitime-FM should be taken at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body.

Directions for Use  Zolitime- Fm   Tablet 

  • Take Zolitime-FM as advised by your doctor.
  • Swallow it as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it.
  • It is recommended to finish the full course of this medication as prescribed by your treating doctor.

 

Warning & Precautions

Pregnancy:

Zolitime- FM is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women.  Inform your doctor about your pregnancy or Consult your doctor before taking it.

Breast-feeding:

Zolitime-FM is generally not advised while breastfeeding.  All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.

Driving:

Driving while on this medication is not recommended as it may cause drowsiness and can impact your driving ability.

Alcohol:

Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking Zolitime-FM as it may cause increased sedation and other adverse effects.

Kidney:

Zolitime-FM to be taken with caution in patients’ history of kidney diseases/conditions. Consult your doctor before taking it.

Liver:

Zolitime-FM to be taken with caution, especially if you have a history of liver diseases/conditions. Consult your doctor before taking it.
